Event Recap: Scholars Reception

The Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland honored our 2023 scholarship winners with a Scholars Reception on June 14, 2023 at Windows on the River. 

We are proud that these new Buckeyes now represent some of the best and brightest students in Northeast Ohio at The Ohio State University: Ava B. (Rocky River), Renee D. (Bay Village), Emily J. (St. Joseph Academy), Anoop K. (Strongsville), Emma M. (St. Joseph Academy), Jaden S. (St. Edward), and Lyla T. (Orange).

Barbara T. Harris, a 1949 Ohio State graduate and active member of the Ohio State Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland, provided the keynote address. Harris was awarded the Ohio State Alumni Association’s Ralph Davenport Mershon Award for exceptional leadership and service to The Ohio State University. Several recent scholarship recipients shared tips for success as freshmen. We concluded the evening with the singing of “Carmen, Ohio.”
